People conclude that Edmund and I like to gamble that’s why lately this has become our favorite vacation place. Nope. We don’t. Well, I like to play the 1 cent slot machines up to a limit of $20 and I only do that twice during our stay, not every night. All the hotels in Vegas have slot machines on the ground floor so one would really be tempted to drop a few dollars in the Quick Hits slots. There’s no way that you can escape while going to and from your hotel room.
The one thing that excites me more when I am in Vegas is hunting for some cute teacups and saucers at the Antique Mall of America.
After our new year’s lunch at Stratosphere, we dropped off the kids at a place called Rush to Escape. I discovered that it was near the antique shops so I requested my husband to drop me off while he hied off to the Las Vegas South Premium Outlet to get some golf shirts.
An hour spent here is relaxation for me.
I have too many chickens already including live ones.
I really like this set of drinking glasses with matching serving tray and I feel bad that I didn’t buy them. Mahirap kasi iuwi, baka mabasag lang.
Vintage embroidered French linens
It’s not always that I see this many inventories. Sometimes they have very few.
I don’t buy a lot. I just choose and usually, I leave with 2 or 3 pieces. I am content with adding one or two pieces everytime I go to antique shops. If I buy a lot, dadami masyado ang kalat sa bahay. Kaya paisa-isa lang ang bili just to satisfy my hobby if that’s called a hobby.
Much as I love the light blue and white color combination of this cup and saucer, I don’t buy monogrammed for specific individuals unless it’s letter a.
I was trying to reach that blue plate but it was perched so high on the wall and no one came to help me.
I didn’t think twice buying these Limoges dessert plates from France. I only discovered two were badly chipped after I had left the store. No return no exchanges here.
I got so excited when I spotted them, basta ko na lang binuhat at dinala sa cashier. From now on I will take time inspecting every piece.
When I started collecting tea cups, the prices ranged from $3 to $10, $10 being the most expensive and the nicest. Last May, the most expensive I had seen were in the $30s. Now there are teacups priced at over $50 a piece. I think that’s insane. They do break easily that’s why as much as possible I don’t want to buy the expensive ones. The probability of breakage, while I am washing them, is 30%.
From Bavaria
When I saw the vendor’s markings Italian Ceramic… I didn’t believe. I doubted the suspected that the vendor probably didn’t know the true origin of this tea set. I was right. I flipped the bottom and found made in china markings.
Matagal na akong mahilig mag-usyoso ng mga teacups kaya medyo marunong na ako kung saan gawa or galing.
All made in England
Happy with my finds
Waiting for my sundo
