Invitation to visit China

I received an invitation from the Department of Trade & Industry to visit China next week. Everything is so rush. I got the email at 1 pm, deadline to confirm and submission of requirements such as passport photo, company profile, etc. was at 5 pm.

Last night I filled out the visa form and this morning I sent my driver to the Chinese Embassy to submit my passport hoping I could get my visa tomorrow. They rejected my application because I did not include a copy of DTI’s invitation letter and they also wanted to see my old passport where my past Chinese visas were stamped. Dami nun, time pa ni GMA, Erap, Pnoy.

visa application

This is the first time in all my presidential trips that I would have to be the one to secure my own visa. In the past, the business delegates submitted passports to the DTI and they took care of the visa applications.

There’s a travel agent designated to handle our tickets and hotel. It’s a challenge contacting them. They are swarmed with work.

Tomorrow, I am sending back my visa application. Siguro alas syete pa lang paalisin ko na tao ko para maaga sya. Kanina kasi #75 sya. We’re leaving on tuesday. Rush rush rush. Baka maiwan ako ng eroplano.
