Long journey to Istanbul - Oh My Buhay

Long journey to Istanbul

Our Etihad Airways flight to Abu Dhabi left at 1:35 am.   I took 1/3 Bonamine tablet that’s why I was able to sleep well for a few hours during the flight.

I baon 2 Skyflakes for emergency food. A training from my mother.

We stayed at the Abu Dhabi airport for 4 hours lay-over, then off to a 4 hours journey to the historical city of Istanbul. By the time we reached Istanbul at 2 pm, I was worn-out.

First time I’ve seen an airplane toilet with a window. This is so cool. Sabi ni Edmund, masisilipan daw.

Our bus looks and smells new. The seats are more comfortable than our seats in Etihad.

I was surprised at how nice and orderly the city of Istanbul is. It’s very first world.

Lots of multi-colored fresh flowers line-up the islands, the streets and sidewalks.

Sana Roxas Boulevard is like this. Malinis, walang kalat, at walang mga kawatan na kakalat-kalat.
Residents enjoy their surroundings with peace of mind.

Instead of driving straight to Troy in Canikkale, upon the request of Susan Dimacali, the wife of Ramon Dimacali, the president of Federal Phoenix, we detoured, braved the hours long traffic and went to the Grand Bazaar which was in the opposite direction.

Our big bus had no trouble passing thru the narrow streets. We did see a glimpse of the Blue Mosque and lots of al-fresco cafe and quaint hotels as we moved closer to the bazaar.
