May 27, 2018 Sunday
Today is the day that the Lord has made. We shall rejoice and be glad….
it’s our family reunion and my birthday too!
Red is the color for this year and last year was green. My sister sponsors the t-shirts every year.
Our reunion each time is fairly simple. We don’t rent event places and we don’t have a gala night. We just all gather mostly in the kitchen where the food is located and just chat and munch. My sister prepares games for a bit of entertainment. Ganun lang. Just a simple family gathering.
Seeing our growing family at least once a year is important otherwise the younger ones won’t know each other anymore. And they won’t recognize the oldies anymore.
Etong mga tisoy at tisay na apo ng Kuya Junior, even if we live away from them, at least they get to know me, Lolo Edmund (ubu-ubo), Auntie Oyen and Unlce Nyke. That makes us seem very old.
Kiefer, Mason, Sydney, Emily, Wilson (all grandchildren of Kuya Junior).
Kuya Junior is the host for next year.
Kuya Ben(+)’s youngest son Angel with his mom Elsie flew in from the Philippines. They spent a few days in Honolulu en route to Las Vegas. This was Angel’s second time to attend and ate Elsie’s first. Sayang ang Kuya Ben, masyado pang bata namatay, 57 lang. Dapat na-enjoy rin nya itong pasyal-pasyal kasama pamilya nya.
Yen ordered this cake from Milk Bar by Christina Tosi. She found the perfect opportunity to have her cake and eat it too.
The food arrived late. Edmund picked up the food trays from Chinatown eh medyo malayo rin. Tawag ng tawag yung cook, malamig na daw yung pagkain. Eves and Bong bought sushi trays from another restaurant. It was Edmund’s suggestion to buy shushi kasi daw yung mga bata hindi naman kumakain ng mga Filipino foods, baka daw gusto sushi. Tama naman.
Belated happy birthday
Thank you Evan.
