Izakaya Kikufuji Japanese Restaurant

Oyen and I were in the mood for Japanese food so we went to the cluster of Japanese restaurants in Pasong Tamo Avenue called Japan Town.
As soon as we got off the car, she said “I’ve always wanted to eat in Izakaya, I heard they’re good”.
A——–“Sige dyan tayo. Anak merong Ford Ranger from Makati Ford. Let’s eat here”.

It’s a good feeling every time I see vehicles from Makati Ford, Ford Cainta, Ford Connecticut and Ford EDSA.

First time lunch at Izakaya Kikufuji Japanese Restaurant, few days ago

Lots of people pala eat here.
While waiting for a table, we browsed their menu. Daming choices and the prices looked reasonable, not cheap, but not expensive either.

I like the idea of having set menu. My saba fish came with a bowl of salad, crispy tuna and veggies.

Ever since I discovered this saba fish here in Japan town, this is just what I’ve been ordering.

Yen’s chicken teriyaki also came with the same appetizers, rice and dessert.

It’s not surprising that they were included in Esquire magazine’s choice of Best Restaurants in 2012. The award was probably based on the quality of food, affordability and good service.
