Kare-kare on Father’s Day

June 15, 2014 Saturday

As expected, my sleeping hours would be off. I woke up at dawn.
The sun was peeping thru my bathroom window.

It’s still very early and yet the sun was already shining so brightly. Nakaka-silaw na.

I removed kasi the glass curtain kaya the sun’s glare could reach my bathroom door.

I wasn’t feeling well. In fact I felt so sick. Two hours before our plane touched down last Friday afternoon, I woke up with a lump in my throat, all of a sudden na lang eh meron na akong sore throat. Ngayon tila gumrabe.

I took my maintenance medicines and had breakfast. I couldn’t remember if Edmund went to play golf. And if we had breakfast together. My God I am so forgetful.

This is Filipino breakfast, mechado.

I went back to bed and slept the whole day. I forced myself to get up at 4 pm because we’re going to church at 6 pm. I took Biogesic and extra vitamin C.

It’s Father’s Day pala.

After the Holy Mass, the priest requested all fathers to stand up. Tapos he told us to extend our hands to pray over the fathers. Edmund was hesitant to stand up. Pinilit ko lang. Na-co-corny-han siguro.

After the mass, Oyen requested that we have dinner in Greenbelt, at Fely J’s kasi she’s been craving for kare-kare and dilis rice. We are always craving for some food kaya ang hirap pumayat.

Nyke was attending a friend’s birthday party daw.

Fresh spring roll, not Filipino, more on Vietnamese.
