Kim is the name of the Thai stringed instrument played by a young woman named Yim, at the Dusit Thani Hotel. She can play the piano and she learned how to play “Kim” in just three months. She’s been living in Manila for eight months as Dusit’s inhouse musician.

The sound was so soothing. While I was listening to Yim, I wanted to sprawl out on Benjarong’s wooden floor and sleep.
