Le Bistro d' Agathe

@Julienne and I went to have lunch at the one year old Le Bistro d’ Agathe, located in Bangkal, Makati City, just off South Super Highway. This was where The Frazzled Cook restaurant used to be.

The walls are covered with abstract paintings done by different artists and are for sale.

We had every intention to eat light, we just wanted to eat out for a change because we’ve been having Jollibee’s hamburger steak with rice for the past several days.
The French owner, Chef Patrice Delobbe was present and fully involved with our presence. Suggesting what to order and asking us every now and then how our meal was going. The place is small kaya talagang whether you like it or not, you will end up bonding with him.

The delicious bread is bottomless.

The fish soup was served hot and was surprisingly good. It was neither creamy nor watery. It had the right texture. It tasted fishy but in a good way. Of course it should taste fishy ano pa, it’s fish soup to begin with.

I ordered Creamy Garlic Prawns, I found the white creamy sauce needing a dash or two of salt and pepper.

Patrice said this is his passion. He lived in Puerto Galera for four years operating a French bistro and pattiserie with the same name Le Bistro d’ Agathe but he closed them and moved to Manila.
