I was watching on HGTV Chef Guy Fieri’s recent road trip in Europe with his son. The boy is going to the University of Las Vegas (UNLV) to study Hospitality and Chef Guy brought him around the key cities in Europe and to the house he himself lived when he was 16 as an immersion experience before his son starts college.

While driving on their way to Switzerland, he told his son that there are two things that you do when you go to Switzerland— buy a watch and to eat fondue.

We tried to eat at a big restaurant near the lake but it was full packed. After doing some research, Oyen found another Swiss fondue restaurant very near our hotel. She asked the hotel receptionist to reserve a table for three people at 8 P.M.

So on our last night in Zurich, we went to the famous 116 year old Le Dezaley restaurant for a traditional Swiss fondue dinner. The service was slow because it was full of people. We were getting impatient because we were hungry.

I liked the French fries and the truffle cheese fondue.
