Oyen messages us from Manila that there’s a newly-opened restaurant in Resorts World Las /vegas serving Pinoy lechon. Edmund and I checked it out, kasama na ang pasyal and to make usyoso the recently launched Resorts World hotel and casino.
In 2019 in one of my visits here, an Uber driver told me about an unfinished building with plenty of Filipino workers. He probably knew some Filipinos working here. So this casino resort is finally open for business. Mabuti naman. This adds to the attractions here in Las Vegas.
According to their press release, the complex is targetting middle-class visitors that’s why the decors are not too classy like in Bellagio, Ceasar’s, Venetian, etc. They want people from all walks of life to feel comfortable here.
Hindi pala full restaurant, it’s in the fast food section of the casino called Famous Foods.
My husband was not in the mood to eat here but he was just going along with me.
We wanted to show our support too to Filipino-owned business in Las Vegas.

Medyo mahal ba?
For $24 I expected something better than this to go pack.
The orchid flower is pretty but I’d rather have lechon sauce instead. The rice was oily from the truffle oil, and the roasted pork a little bit dry hence the need for lechon sauce aka Mang Tomas Lechon.
I went to look at the dessert bar in the middle.
I was hoping to find waterchestnut with ice and coconut milk but I only found this.
We went to explore the hotel lobby and shops but somemsections were still closed.
They were right in saying that theirs is not as fancy as Bellagio.
I admire women who are dressed fabulously even when they are in the mall, supermarket or anywhere. Me, I am so tamad to dress-up, kung pwede lagi daster na lang and tsinelas.
