I brought Aileen and Bong along to my dinner with Atty. Dennis Mesina and his wife Sylvia. They picked us up in front of Hyatt Hotel and we rode in Dennis’ black Mercedes Benz. Dennis and Sylvia live in a rare single-detached house in the city. We are going to have dinner there next year, Dennis would cook for us!!!!
We drove several blocks from Hyatt to the so-called Thai and Vietnamese towns where many establishments owned and operated by Vietnamese and Thais abound.
Dennis made us choose between Vietnamese noodles or Thai. We chose Thai.
They brought us to LERS ROS, a top-rated Thai restaurant in the city of San Francisco. We came too early for supper so we were able to get seated right away.
We ordered a lot of food. They all tasted either good or very good.
Their brown rice was surprisingly very good. I haven’t seen grains that fat and big.
Chicken Curry– we didn’t finish this because it arrived when we were already too full but it also tasted good.
Phad Thai
This was my favorite among all the dishes that we ordered. Papaya Salad.
Steamed Sea Bass served in a boiling plate. This is really super and very healthy kasi no oil, They just put garlic, lemon grass, ginger, etc.
And of course, a Thai meal is never complete without their iconic mango with sticky rice. Yummy too.

All the tables were filled up and more people were waiting to get seated when we stood-up. Buti na lang we came in too early. Lers Ros Thai Restaurant is very popular. The New York Post featured it in their spread, sending their own staff to check it out.
Aileen, Bong and I took the BART back. Tamang-tama there’s a homeless person in the train, I just gave him the excess Chicken Curry from Ler Ros plus a dollar.
