Sarku and Anthropologie

Rewind to July 12, thursday

I needed to do laundry because I had no more clean clothes. I was too cautious to accidentally shrink my clothes so I placed the wash and drier setting to “COLD” but my pants still shrunk.

I took the BART to Market Street to meet up with my sister, Bong, Atty. Dennis Mesina and his wife Sylvia.

The train was empty.

I was starving upon reaching Powell Street so I got off and ate something. I was an hour early.
I thought it was warm and sunny today but this girl was wearing winter clothes.

Anong turo sa atin bago kumain? Wash hands.

Instead of grabbing something light, I ended up eating a full meal at SARKU. Meron na pala dito sa West Coast. Sarku’s Chicken Teriyaki is a hit in New York.

The meat is cooked just before serving.

It’s well-worth it for $6.50

Our meeting place is infront of Hyatt Hotel along Market Street which is about 7 or 9 blocks from Powell. It’s safe and nice to walk in San Francisco so I just walked, something I couldn’t do when in Manila.

There were many distractions while I was walking kaya medyo na late ako.

Buy na! I am thinking of selling bibingka also.

Bong was already calling while I was window shopping at Anthropolgie. He and Aileen are already at the entrance of Hyatt.

Anthropologie is one of my favorite stores. Nice to look at but too expensive to buy.

I just love this store. I first discovered it in SOHO, Manhattan. The white dinner plates we use everyday are from their Soho store. They shipped it to Aileen in SFO and Aileen shipped them to me.

  1. Things at Anthropologie go on sale quickly. There should be a room in the back of every store with the things marked down. The room is a little cramped, but the sale selection is very good and they usually take three rounds of discounts, until the last price is a quarter of the original.

    1. I haven’t chanced upon their big sale. I love their merchandise most especially those that are from India and Portugal. Thank you for your comment.

  2. Oh, sorry I was mistaken. What I meant to say was that all stores have a sale section/room, but now that I think of it, that’s not true. The store that I typically went to had a sale room, but the other one across town didn’t. Sorry for the confusion and wrong information!

I love how they their merchandise too. So many new and exotic things (at least to me).

    Thank you for your blog.

  3. You can definitely shop through their website. It might be easier than lugging all of their things in your baggage. =)
