A male employee had to go because he was no longer effective in dealing with customers.   I had no choice,  decisions have to be made decisively.  When I called him  to my office at 4:30 pm this afternoon, he turned pale knowing fully well what was about to happen.  He sobbed in front of me and it broke my heart.  I ended up making hagod his shoulder because he was crying.  I was also teary eyed.  I offered him cookies to pacify him.   But who would want cookies if you just lost your job.

I hate letting go of employees because I know they have families, they have apartments to pay and they have dreams.  In this particular case,  he has a one year-old baby.   I hate the thought that tonight he would come home and announce to his wife the sad news.   I feel for them.  I imagine myself in their shoes.  Oh God,  I don’t want things like this happening.

I pray that other car service companies hire him fast because of his work experiences.

I sincerely wish him good luck.
