Lunch at Augustiner Bierhalle

Actually, I am not sure if Augustiner Bierhalle is the name of the restaurant where we had lunch today. There are many names on the facade and I don’t know which is which. The travel guide is saying that this place has three different restaurants inside.

Restaurants that are on the Micheline Guide list mean that the food, service,  and facilities are above average.

Our meals are included in the tour package.  The travel coordinator pre-orders for the 12 of us.

Many tourists bring home glass coasters such as this.  I used to do that too, maybe in just a few of my travels 25 years ago.  But after collecting two or three pieces, I stopped kasi I realized it only added kalat in our house.

The service is fast. The mushroom soup reaches my mouth still piping hot. I like my soup hot, yung mainit na mainit.  My son teases me that I like to say
“Gusto ko yung mainit na mainit”.  Then I would complain “ay, napaso ang dila ko”.

The freshness of the mushrooms is very evident in the smell and taste.

James, the tour coordinator, orders a slice of steak for each of us. The food server calls the meat, flesh.

I sent mine back to the kitchen kasi it was still red on the inside.

I am amazed at the two huge beer stations located at the very long bar.

The cake tastes like liquor eh I am allergic to alcohol. I ate the cream and not the cake.

We now both hate taking pictures of ourselves kasi puro pileges na mukha namin.  No angle can help the outcome.  Front view, left side view, right side view, top view, lahat pangit.  Sa susunod puro na lang backview.
