I bought some tiny mangoes and fresh flowers from Farmer’s Market the night before.

These are so lovely to look at, but not lovely to the pockets because they wilt after 3 days.

I love fresh flowers. Even when we don’t have guests, I still buy fresh flowers, or sometimes, we pick from our house’s gilid-gilid.

Stitch was dead tired after staying in the office the whole day. The employees “mugged” him kaya napagod.

Edmund invited some UST batchmates over for a merienda gathering. Our household staff are all new and none could cook.

Up to the last minute, I didn’t know what to serve. I was stressed and my mind was exhausted from thinking of office deadlines.

I  placed some black grapes, diced cheese, chocolates and fresh strawberries on the table.
005

I bought a set of this tiny cutie ceramic from Fremont. It’s from England and is estimated to be around 50 years old.
I pre-assigned seats para hindi magulo.
007

Everytime we have handa, we always use our kitchen island as the buffet table.
009

The mangoes look big in the photo but they’re actually very small, like 2″ x 1″

Merienda was set at 4 pm, these are the early birds.
Bernie Rillo, Merly Valeriano and Eric Gallardo. Eric’s father was the dean of the College of Commerce during our time.

(Left to right) Rosalinda Tapan ,I forgot her nickname I wrote “Rose” on the ceramic name plate, kaya she couldn’t find her seat.

Edmund’s UST seatmates have very good memories, they still remember the names of their professors, names of most of their classmates, the subjects. I could only remember a few of our professors, one is Dante Cenido, only because he’s my Kuya Junior’s friend and kumpadre, being the ninong sa binyag of my nephew Junjun. Dante is from Binangonan and taught in UST while I was in college. The other one is Mrs. Letty Timbol. She’s a close friend of my Kuya Lito and she’s one of our wedding ninang. The rest, nalimutan ko na.

Bernie, who works at ADB, still has his Thomasian, yung akin nawala ko na.  He’s pointing at our photos,  mukhang panahon pa ng hapon.  Lahat ang papayat.   Parang vintage na vintage na talaga.

Our family dining table comfortably seats 6 size large individuals, or 8 medium, or 10 small.
We were 10 adults with sizes ranging from medium to large kaya medyo masikip.

Bernie accidentally knocked-off the wine glass. My table cover turned red. Right after they left, I mmediately had it washed and put lemon juice hoping to prevent the red wine from staining. Nabawasan ng malaki ang mantsa  pero meron pa rin.
