Michelin Guide IYASARE IN BERKELEY

When we had dinner in Iyasare with Dennis and Sylvia, I promised to myself that I would go back there with Nyke, and Oyen too.

Iyasare in Berkeley

Iyasare is no fancy restaurant but I am sure they too would like the food and the vibe.

There are dishes that are not available during lunchtime. But it’s okay, I am happy with what’s available.
The simple dish Agedashi Todu is made tastier by executive chef Shotaro Kamio. I findnthe flavor, texture, and wsrm temperature very comforting. This dish is actually one of my favorite Japanese dishes. (a k a pritong tokwa)

Poppo yaki  (umami marinated Japanese squid)

Nyke’s ramen noodles

Tori Kara-age

Susuki yaki  (Miso Marinated Seabass with seafood salald and vegetables)

I think we should include mountain climbing in our family activity, and not just always dining out.

This charming Japanese restaurant made it to the prestigious Michelin Guide. This badge of honor can increase a restaurant’s popularity by many folds. This could be the reason why Iyasare’s tables are always occupied.
