I received a cell phone call from a Mazda Makati client on wednesday afternoon.
She sounded like she personally knew me. It was awkward because I have a very bad memory and at that moment, my hard drive didn’t work fast enough. Baka we’ve met before.
She said————– “Hello, Annie, this is ……
Me——————– Hi..
She obviously felt that I didn’t remember (yet)
She—————— This is …….., oh you don’t remember me na.
She sounded nice unfortunately I need a little bit more time to dig into my brain’s archives.
Me—————— Oh hi, what can I do for you.
Cathy said she went to our service area. Apparently she brought her car sometime ago for body and paint.
(Body and paint jobs and major vehicle repairs are done in our work shop in Pasig kasi aamoy ang pintura sa Makati eh we are adjaceent to a residential area, the San Lorenzo Subdivision.
She—————- Maliit na bagay lang naman but I think you should know what your people are doing.
Me—————– Of course,
She————— I have Mentos candies in the car, tatlo palang ang bawas, when I got my car, konti na lang ang natira, halos maubos na.
Me—————- We always tell our people not to touch anything left inside the vehicles, we always remind them and issue memos but frankly speaking it’s hard to control a hundred people. THAT IS WHY, we require our clients not to leave anything behind. We have notices at the entrance….
Our people should not touch any of our client’s things left in their vehicles, however, it’s very hard to assure and guarantee that they wouldn’t. That is why there are a lot of notices posted at the entrance of our service area for clients not to leave their valuables or any personal thing inside their vehicles. Even candies unless you want to share them with the technicians.
She further added…”those are just candies pero kung yung maliit na bagay ay ginagalaw nila, what more big amounts of money”. I beg to disagree. That statement is debatable.
To begin with, why would any one leave big amounts of money or even P100 inside their vehicle? No person in his right frame of mind would do that unless he is Santa.
One time a client complained that he left P12.60 in his vehicle and when he retrieved his vehicle, tila P6 na lang. Kaya nga merong mga paskel na huwag mag-iwan ng kahit ano sa kotse. Kahit piso.
Sometimes client hides them in the comparment. Still, that is inside your vehicle.
A service facility, any service facility, has dozens of people assigned with different responsiblities. They go in and out and around the service area. There are also security guards who could be tempted to get some candies while on duty at night.
Although I appreciate that she went out of her way to inform me of her missing Mentos candies, but next time please bring them with you.
We require that all vehicles brought into our shop/s be devoid of any personal effects, be it one peso, phone chargers, ballpens, combs, candies, sanitary napkins and the like.
We are not responsible and liable for any missing item left inside your vehicle/s. Thank you.
