Greenbelt 5 is a good place to de-stress. Or maybe not with all the expensive stores out there. We could get more stressed-out if we found something we liked and not being able to buy it.
I really needed to relieve myself of some stress. It was a tough September/October for me and meron pang hang-over. I just want to aliw myself a little by walking around Greenbelt and maybe buy a gift for the most loyal friend of mine, myself.
Banana Republic. This was the very first store Julienne and I went to when Greenbelt first opened several years ago.

I took out two orders of Fely J’s Dilis Rice for Julienne. It’s her favorite. Fely J’s restaurant is on the second floor of Greenbelt 5.
I browsed inside the Louis Vuitton boutique. Parang I want to buy a bag for everyday use with my initials monogrammed in big colorful letters. Two problems though, my daughter is violently discouraging me because she said sooner than later, the whole women population would have it also and two, my initals are ACTY and LV could only stamp 3 letters max.
I went inside the Balenciaga store and liked a colored cobalt blue bag. It’s big and slouchy. I called-up my daughter and she agreed to swing by Greenbelt to look at the bag.
Sales lady—- mam, hindi nag-uulit ng color ang Balenciaga. You can charge it to your Metrobank card, 6 months zero interest.
Me———– I don’t have Metrobank credit card, and ayaw ko installment, mahirap maghulog.
While waiting for her, I went inside Zara and tried on clothes.
I like this simple plain black dress accentuated by this bling-bling. I can wear it to the office, cocktails, meetings.
Small or Medium? Ay hindi pala, I tried on the Medium… and Large. Hindi bagay. It’s sleeveless and my arms looked disgusting.
I returned the blacks and got this size 2 printed one.
Nope, I look like lumpiang ubod, Help, get me out of here. It got stucked around my head. Muntik ng mapunit.
Eh bakit naman kasi size 2 ang kinuha ko, alam mo yun, denial, dapat LARGE!
Here comes daughter
She likes her suede Lancel bag, she’s preserving it by using it only once in a blue moon. Ang bango pa ng leather.
We went to the Balenciaga store but I changed my mind. I realized I was only attracted to the bag because of it’s blue color. I don’t need a new bag. I was only feeling kind of low kaya parang I wanted to buy a Christmas gift for myself. Pero buti na lang my daughter came and snapped me out of it. Thanks Oyen. Thanks Suze Orman.

We split the arugula salad
Chateau’s Gambaretti uses spaghetti pasta. Oyen requested for fettucine pasta instead and amazing how this dish totally changed in character by using a different kind of pasta. I prefer fettucine than their original spaghetti.
We split this too.
Forever lemon meringue, no split, because kulang pa nga ito sa akin.
I gave Oyen the box of chocolate pralines given by a friend.
My friend also gave us a can of Foie Gras from Paris. It should be kept in the ref at ideally 3 degrees.
Oyen said “wow foie gras, that’s delicious, heart attack in a can”.
