I went to Robinson’s Galleria on monday. It felt as if I haven’t been here for ages. This’ my first mall trip after a month in the US where malls were never this crowded most especially during ordinary days. Parang nanibago ako.
I ate na rin while waiting for the 4 to-go orders of Vietnamese fresh spring rolls I bought for my kids.
I have been experiencing trouble accessing my website www.ohmybuhay.com lately. It’s very slow and the past week had been particularly frustrating. I am trying to find every possible reason and eliminate factors that maybe contributing to this problem. It could be our old Linksys router that needed an upgrade so I invested on a new and supposedly more advanced and powerful router made by Cisco. It’s compatible na din daw with Iphones and Ipads.
I didn’t know how to install this and asked their technician to come over to our house but they only have one person who couldn’t leave their shop, so Julienne did it by herself las Friday night. She’s my one and only daughter, my most favorite one and she also doubles as our in-house IT person.
I also bought a new Hewlett Packard printer/scanner for P8,900. It’s wifi or wireless na daw, you can send a message from your Iphone and it would print it. Hi-tech na. We haven’t installed it yet. The problem with the printers is not the initial purchase cost but the expensive four colors ink.
The problem could also be due to the P990 a month Mydsl bundle plan that we have so yesterday I requested for an upgrade to P1,299 which is 3 x faster daw. It would take PLDT at least a week to process the upgrade.
Pasensya na I kept comparing but in America, we didn’t even have to write a letter, send two kinds of authorization letter, a copy of the ID, etc. for this kind of service. A simple telephone call would suffice. And things are done in a few minutes. They would just verify your identity, billing address and done. They get many things done thru the telephone. Dito sa atin “Miss, I would like to request for…….”.
“Pumunta ka na lang dito, at sumulat ka muna attention kay …….”
“Eh gaano daw katagal mapa-process from the time I submitted all the requirements?”
“Hindi ko alam, mag-follow up ka na lang, tawag-tawag ka lang”.
It took these girls several minutes to process my payment and prepare the receipts. I was standing beside this young guy on the right, while he was telling the girls about his pregnant wife.
