Our New Year’s Eve dinner was not planned. We just wanted to put food in our stomachs. Edmund suggested Pieology only because while driving by he spotted the pizza place.
I wasn’t in the mood for pizza and I wanted a more formal setting. I saw P. F. Chang’s and since I haven’t tried this restaurant before I thought it was an opportune time to check the place out. There was a P.F. Chang in Shangrila Mall but it closed before I could even plan on going there.
We are not wine drinkers so when we dine, 99 % of the time we don’t order wine. Water with ice is our usual order.
I found the lighting inside too dark.
The menu is not mainstream Chinese food. It’s more of a fusion of Asian cuisine with touches of American flavor. Not surprising because P.F. Chang’s was born in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1993.
Spicy long life noodles perfect to welcome the new year.

Tipid ng date namin ano?
When we were sweethearts or shall I say boyfriend-girlfriend, we enjoyed dining in dark restaurants. The darker the better. You look for a table na nasa sulok, sa likod ng dingding. It was romantic and very conducive to kilig moments. Holding hands and you move your chair closer to each other so you could lean your head on his shoulder. After 40 years, you sit across each other, the farther away the better for more space, no encroachment and no seeing what the other one is doing. And you notice the lights. Ang dilim naman dito. Wala ba silang flourescent?
