We left the Bavarian Alps right after having lunch at Kainz. It was at least a 3-hour drive to Munich.
After checking in, we boarded the bus again and went to Oktoberfest. We got here at 6:30 pm. We should be back on this exact same spot by 8:30 pm or else we’ll miss the shuttle bus, and we have to take a taxi back to the hotel.

The rain was a bummer.

Oyen’s friends from college, Tiffany and Joe, were here too. We hoped to meet with them even just to say hi, hello, and how are you. They came from Berlin and took the train to Munich.
It was so difficult finding a spot to meet up. This place pala is one huge peryaan. The Tagalog word Perya must have come from the English word FAIR. It’s just my guess. This is a dispersed carnival so to find each other would be a monumental task.

Unfortunately, we failed to see them. Rain, wind, and time constraints made us abandon our plans of meeting up.

Pressed for time, Edmund and I stepped inside one huge tent closest to us. There was a live band performing familiar hit songs like Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys, while at least a thousand people were drinking beer, eating, dancing, and simply having fun.

Mr. Yee drinks beer but cannot be considered a beer drinker. Pero gusto nya makisaya dito. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us because I don’t think we’ll travel back to Munich just to attend future Octoberfests. This place is for younger people.

Hehehe para kaming naligaw sa mundo ng ibabaw.

He has two glasses of beer, one for me.

E—–“Inom tayo tart”

A—–“Meron bang buko juice?”

Sya na lang piktyuran ko, more believable.

We have a selfie where I was drinking beer too.  My children reacted “Mom now drinks beer?”  Then they answered their own beleaguerment.  “Fake!” The way I was holding the glass daw gave it away.  Bad acting.

People here are too tall and big.  I look pandakekok beside them.  The waiters are moving very fast and they can’t see me. Baka ako maapakan so ang tuling ng takbo ko sa kaiiwas sa kanila.

Edmund blends well with the surroundings.  He drinks beer, he has the Bavarian hat, and he’s got the height. Me? medyo out of place.  Hindi pala medyo. Sobra.   I don’t drink beer, I don’t have the right attire, and I lack height.

Food trays for groups. Sarap.
