I am not happy with what’s happening in our country. Why my countrymen? Where are you bringing our beloved country to? Down to desolation and despair?
When people shouted for change, they meant change for the better and not for the worst.
The direction this country is going doesn’t seem to me as a good place or a better place. Mukhang paurong yata ang punta natin.
I have been trying to ignore the warning signs because I am an ordinary citizen who doesn’t have any voice or power to change things. But in my opinion the way we are managing our affairs is smack of incompetence and foolishness that is centered only in our leaders’ personal agenda. Deep in my heart I don’t see and feel that the true welfare of Filipinos is foremost in the minds of those managing our country.
During the time of Pnoy, the problems were drugs, corruption, incompetence of some government managers, shortsightedness in planning, lack of infrastructures and obsolete airports, lack of efficient public transportation, difficulty and high cost of doing business, poverty and so many many more. There were millions of things that needed improvements.
Today, the above problems still persist.
Our government must function with foresight and imagination. They must embark on projects that could be utilized by the public for a very long time, not just during their respective government’s terms.
Politics are working against us. Bakit ganun ang kapalaran nating mga Pilipino? Bakit hindi natin mapatakbo ng ayos ang ating bansa. Puro na lang politics. Malas ba talaga tayo o tayo ang lumilikha ng malas sa bansa natin?
Last year the economy was doing fine and the country seemed to be moving forward in terms of economic progress. The business sector took care of itself and ended the year with flying confetti.
The Philippine government wasn’t satisfied with the country’s progress so they thought of bright ideas to impose taxes that will inflict damage to our lives. The TRAIN came under the disguise of a better future for all of us. They wanted to collect more taxes from the people. They wanted to collect more money from all of us. They gave tax exemptions to employees but did the employees feel it? No, because the prices of goods and services skyrocketed much more than the amount the employees supposedly had saved from the taxes.
Disguised as a way to ease the burden of high cost of living, but on the contrary look at what TRAIN 1 has done. And the government doesn’t care, they want to shoo away BPOs / call centers so thousands of Filipinos would lose their jobs by bringing in TRAIN 2 which they now call TRABAHO KUNO.
What is this government’s agenda? Gumapang tayo sa hirap? Lahat tayo addict na sa shabu? Para na tayong manok, patukain ng mais kasi walang bigas, puro bukbok.
I hope we don’t wake up one morning only to find that one cup of coffee is ten thousand pesos because our economy has tumbled down big time.
My fear is there will be chaos and anarchy in our streets, martial law would be declared and we ordinary citizens would wake up stripped of our rights, freedom and dignity.
Didn’t a relative of yours campaign for Mr. Duterte?
That is true. He did.
He is Lex Talionis from San Beda and Duterte was their presidential bet.
He campaigned using his valuable time, own money and resources without expecting anything in return.
How sad, the state of our country
Well said Annie, seems like all the bad elements in our country have been woken up and are creating havoc. It’s time we all start caring and do something, about it!
