No gathering of 10 or more people is allowed in compliance with the community quarantine and to practice social distancing. With that in mind, I only invited three people to join us for lunch in celebration of Oyen’s birthday.
I bought the ingredients 5 days ahead of time. Ako lang nagluto. Oyen bought this small bottle of sliced truffles.
The supermarket near us dropped out of business last year leaving Smart and Final as our alternative grocery. It’s been a while but until now my husband still can’t remember the name.
E—- “May bibilhin ako sa Smart and Casual”.
A—- “Smart and Final”.
The next day:
E—– “Tart, sasaglit lang ako sa Smart and Casual”.
A—– “Smart and Final”.
To say that I am addicted to truffles is an understatement. Kung pwede lang araw-araw eto na lang ang papakin ko.
I cooked soup using left-over chowder. I added tons of black truffles, sliced and sauce. Masarap daw sabi nila lahat.
I am addicted to this unfortunately none is available online. Oyen found this in a store and that store is closed due to the community lockdown.
Lately I’ve been using more ingredients in one dish. I call this layering of taste. Actually tinatalbog ko lang yung mga tira-tira sa ref.
This cooked ham has been in the freezer for several months. I chopped it into tiny pieces and dumped it in the soup.
My menu
I hate touching fresh fish and seafood. Nagigilawlawan ako but I have no choice. I can’t cook if I am afraid of sea creatures.
Truffle-flavored pasta
I bought this fresh strawberries two weeks ago but maasim no one touched them. Ginawa ko na lang strawberry shake. I added water and sugar. Sarap! Wala namang uminom, ako lang and Aileen.
We are hoping to plant these tulips bulbs on soil but, a big but…
Edmund— “ayaw sumindi yung uling! Namamatay ang apoy”
We were going to grill this pero ayaw nga sumindi nung uling kaya niluto ko na lang sa kawali. Small lobsters taste sweet. I put lots of ginger and garlic to remove the lansa.
9 Personalized disposable plastic cups. Sinulatan ko ng mga pangalan namin para huwag magkapalitpalit.
Ube cake is from Tita Aileen and Tito Bong
Three candles, 30 ka na ba anak?

still calling it corochina virus, even Trump stopped calling it china virus
Pres. Trump is more diplomatic. Yes, I still call it corochina virus in the same manner that I call a pair of shoes from Italy as Italian shoes.
It is apt to call it “China virus”since the dreaded virus ravaging the whole world came from China and its filthy and barbaric wet markets.Live animals from pangolins, cats, bats, dogs etc.are caged on top of each other. They defecate, urinate and it all goes from the top cages down. Its truly a disgusting practice but the Chinese public insist on seeing what they are eating live since they don’t trust the government after it tried to poison babies by putting melamine in infant formula.
It is a CHINA VIRUS and the Chinese should pay reparations to all the countries it infected. They are lying about the real number of infected and deaths. They sent defective masks to Spain and Malaysia. They infected Italy because 300,000 Chinese nationals live in Prato(near Florence and Lombardy) making “Made in Italy”clothes, shoes and bags.More than 500,000 Chinese entered USA in January before Trump stopped flights from China and of course he is called RACIST for trying to protect American citizens.
Cody,
If indeed there are Chinese leather goods and clothing factories in Prato, this explains why the virus first appeared in Lombardy. I’ve been wondering why they were hit when in fact that area is not a very popular tourist destination.
there is an official term for it used by all and because amidst this world crisis pandemic, we should not sow any more enmity especially as we call ourselves Catholics and religiously practice being Catholics – attending mass, joining festivals of Saints, etc.
Dear Olivia,
I see your point and your kindness. I also believe that pandemic or not, Catholic or not, we should not sow enmity. I am also aware that the WHO calls it Ncov, then covid19. However, I still want to call it corochina and this doesn’t have anything to do with my practice of religion and my faith in God.
