When he won over Marquez this year, I thought he should quit already. When his Bradley fight was announced, I was scared he would lose, baka matsambahan sya. He lost to Bradley. I thought he should quit already. Our family didn’t go to any movie house or hotel. Watching boxing is not relaxing, it just gives me too much adrenaline. When I saw Marquez looking so fit, I was scared that “baka matyempuhan si Pacquiao”.

Well, my fears have happened and worst of all, PLAKDA (knocked-out) si Pacquiao. Sana natalo lang ng nakatayo, hindi log-tu. Marquez‘s solid right punch straight on Manny’s face did not meet any resistance from Manny’s left hand which could have shielded his face. Kaya ayun, no defense, plakda! Julienne said “kawawa”.

I don’t know how this would affect him. After a glorious boxing career and twisters of blessing, losing is something one has to deal with. I wish Manny well.

When the fight was about to start, I saw both fighters went to the corner and prayed. Both made the sign of the cross.
I have always wondered in times like this, who does God listen to?
Me to Edmund——— “Tart, pano yan parehong Katoliko, sinong papakinggan ng Dyos? Parehong nagdadasal, yug mga kamag-anak ni Marquez, yung kay Pacquiao din, pa’no kaya yun?”
