Our tourmates went back to Mercure Hotel from Louvres. It’s 5 pm and the day is still young, masarao ang panahon although it’s drizzling pero sayang naman to stay in the hotel. There’s no interesting places around the hotel so when you’re there, wala lang, you’re there.
My 2 anaks and I didn’t join them in the bus, and instead we walked from the Louvre to Galeries Lafayette. It’s not near but very walkable.
We did a combination of shopping and window shopping along the way, while holding our umbrellas up.
My kids stop every time they see macaroons.
Paul has a franchisee in SM Aura
I saw this lovers inside the Paul cafe. I wish my husband is also that focused on me while the two of us eat out, instead of being 99% glued on his Iphone. It’s not a good feeling when your companion is in front of you but he doesn’t notice your presence. Obvious ba, napaka uninteresting ko.
Nakakatuwa sila ano, ang sweet. Ganyan din kami 35 yeas ago.
PAUL Patisserie. Their store in Manila is always full of people.
Second best macaroons according to my children’s taste test. So far the top place still goes to the blueberry macaroon from __________, the one near depot vente.
Daughter bought a navy blue wind breaker at this Palais Royal boutique next to Paul Patisserie. This store sells Italian-made clothes that are reasonably priced.
The clothes are for casual wear and range from Euro50 up
We kept on walking towards the direction of Opera. There’s a bookstore that has interesting plates, teacups, saucers, and some small home decors from France and some from China!!!
We spent some thirty minutes here, nakaka-libang.
there’s a Pierre Herme on the same street as Paul. Pierre daw is the cousin of Hermes and Pierre Cardin according to Julienne.
Taste test verdict: we found Pierre Herme’s macaroons too sweet. Parang asukal na tinunaw at inilagay sa macaroons. The crust is too soft. We like chewy ones.
Euro 2.10 for each little macaroon
1. Blueberry from ____
2. Paul
3. Pierre Herme
