It’s not practical to have a pool. It must be cleaned regularly, two or three times a week. Leaves must be scooped every day. Chlorine is needed to keep the water free from bacteria. We always run out of Chlorine kasi the maids also use it for cleaning the floor, to disinfect from dogs pee and pooh. . Ang mahal pa mandin nyang ganyang chlorine.
Without it, in just 3 days, the pool water turns green and gets darker each day.
Our pool cleaner is named Jerry. He never gets tired cleaning our pool. He also never complained about his pay. It was Edmund who took the initiative to increase it. Once in a while we give him clothes for his relatives.
If you are fond of being in the water, then medyo sulit to have a small pool. But our family is lazy to get wet. But at least we see dozens of birds come and drink water. And so are our dogs.
This summer, I promise myself to swim at least once a week. Edmund said I should do it early morning. I told him, it’s like telling me not to swim because I will not wake up at 6 to jump into the water. Siguro sa hapon na lang mga 6 pm. Btw, I don’t know how to swim. When I am in the water, my kids or Edmund must be around in case I drown. They are my life guards.
