Taytay, Tagumpay and Cotton On

Edmund and I had breakfast this morning at around 9 am.

He had fried fish

and sinigang sa miso na tuna belly. I forgot what I ate this morning. I ate something else. Oh, the ginataang hipon from ate Elsie. I finished them all.

I told him I wanted to go to Cainta. When he said yes, both of us hurriedly went up to our bathrooms and took a shower. Hindeee, we have separate bathrooms ano? Madumi isip nyo.

It’s nice to drive around on Sundays, less traffic, except along Ortigas Avenue extension in front of Ever Gotesco shopping mall.

What a beautiful day.

We drove through the town’s busy street not knowing that today’s their town fiesta.
There were so many people sitting on the sidewalks. Vendors occupied the sidewalks covering the permanent establishments.

If I am not mistaken, this spot was where Tagumpay Footwear used to be, decades ago.
That’s where my father had his leather slippers made. He would bring us along pag susukatan sya or may fitting. It normally took two months before they could finish a pair of leather slippers.

Even if her slippers were lighter, masakit pa rin kasi abaca. Binibili nya dun sa caravan.

We drove through the town and around Ortigas Avenue extension. We didn’t even get-off for a minute. 12:30 pm we’re two kilometers from our house, Edmund asked where we’re going to eat lunch.
I suggested to him that he should be the one to choose kasi sya ang mas mapili. I’m easier to please when it comes to food choices.

He suggested in UP Town Center. He’s been there, I haven’t.
We stopped at vendors near UP selling star apple. I bought a kilo from her P40.
008

I bought a kilo of murado for P50.
A———– “Saan galing ito?”
Tindera—– “Sa loob ng UP”.
009

UP Town Center has no covered parking area. It’s hot and sunny. I was worried my star apples would rot inside our vehicle.

Parking was full, valet parking was a better option.
010

We paid P100 plus tip.
013

A———– “Tart, gutom ka na ba? Let’s go inside. I want to buy a blouse, wala na akong maisuot”.
E———– “Sige”.

Wow sale
015

P400 na lang down from P799
018

This is so pretty. Terno sa pinggan ko.
023

Which kaya? This
025

or this?
026

This. No discount daw. I paid P799. How come I always end up buying the regular priced one?

This lawlaw style is in fashion again? I don’t understand why one would wear something like this. It’s unflattering.  Unless you’re a member of a dance troupe.
For girls, unless malapad ang pwet mo or kung lalaki naman, kung sobrang laki ang ano mo that you need extra space.
