After our classes ended at 5:45 pm, we all walked to the Loeb House for a cocktails reception hosted by the school.
The venue for the reception was the historic President’s House at 17 Quincy Street, inside the campus of Harvard University. It served as a residence for Harvard Presidents until 1971. The building was renamed as Loeb House beginning in 1995.
After sitting for a total of 9 hours in the classroom, I still didn’t want to stand-up during the cocktails reception. I looked for a chair.
Aside from cold cuts, cheeses, olives, and bread on the round table at the center of the room, there were several waiters passing around more food. There was also a beverage counter at the far end of the room. I drank a glass of Coca-cola.
