Reception at the Loeb House

July 15, 2019

After our classes ended at 5:45 pm, we all walked to the Loeb House for a cocktails reception hosted by the school.

The venue for the reception was the historic President’s House at 17 Quincy Street, inside the campus of Harvard University. It served as a residence for Harvard Presidents until 1971. The building was renamed as Loeb House beginning in 1995.

Loeb House, HarvardAfter sitting for a total of 9 hours in the classroom,  I still didn’t want to stand-up during the cocktails reception. I looked for a chair.

Cocktails Reception, July 15, 2019Aside from cold cuts, cheeses, olives, and bread on the round table at the center of the room,  there were several waiters passing around more food.   There was also a beverage counter at the far end of the room.  I drank a glass of Coca-cola.
