Reunion with Susan Dimacali

We miss traveling with Ramon Dimacali, his wife Susan, Federal Phoenix team, Beth, Jun, Nadine, et al. In the past 10 years before the Covid era, we spent one week with their group traveling abroad to interesting places. Relax lang kami, and I liked the mix of people. Simple lang kami, walang mga arte.
We also liked Sabina from Bridges Travel, and Cynthia Nakpil. Two different styles but both awesome. Sabina brings us to more places, and casual dining. Cynthia focused more on fine dining experience which was great too.

Let me try to recall each city or country we went to:

1. Hawaii——— me only 2010
2. Las Vegas —- me and Edmund 2011
3. Sydney ——– me, Nyke, Oyen, Edmund 2012
4. Turkey ——— me, Nyke Oyen, Edmund 2013
5. Paris and Milan —— me, Nyke, Oyen 2014
6. Budapest, Slovakia, Vienna —– me, Nyke, Oyen 2015
7. New York —– me, Oyen, and Derrick (her boyfriend) 2016
8. Barcelona —- me, Bong, Len 2017
9. Portugal —– me, Oyen, Edmund Len, Bong 2018
10. Tallin and Helsinki —– me and Edmund 2019

I hope I got the sequence and the years right.

From Helsinki, Ramon Dimacali was inviting us to join them to proceed to Russia but we had to come back na. Sayang pala dapat pumunta na kami. I had been to Moscow years ago with then Philippine president, Fidel V. Ramos, and with his official entourage. Kaya iyan na nga ang lagi kong sinasabi. Do not postpone what you want to do. Just go, while you can still walk, while you can still see. While there’s no Covid, no war.

A few nights ago I suddenly received a message from Susan. She had read pala my Oh My Buhay post about her husband and decided to message me. Tyempo she’s here pala in the Bay Area and is staying with a family friend in San Mateo.
I invited her to meet up, and here we are:

1:17 pm
Beautiful and forever young. While we are all aging fast, Susan has discovered the youth elixir. Tayo pa tanda ng patanda, sya, mukhang pabata ng pabata.

Susan was surprised at my choice of New England Lobster, kasi daw this was Mon’s favorite restaurant. She said we were angels sent by Mon. Haha, hindi kami mukhang mga anghel. Kami yung mga angel pero mukhang demonyito.
My right eye was swollen. It was very itchy I scratched it.

Sue said we were angels sent by Ramon. Maybe to bring her back and accomoany her here at his favorite resto. Haha kami yung mga anghel na hindi maamo ang mukha, kami yung anghel na mukhang mga demonyito.

We were glad we got to reunite with Susan. We dropp4d her off at the residence of Ramon’s inaanak sa kasal.
She has relatives and friends around here and intends to find her own place. That’s good, we’ll get to hang out more often.
