Rice, Sison & Globe Tattoo

After eating ice cream and husband taking my pulubi-look photo, I asked my husbanda
“tart san tayo pupunta?”
he lovingly answered “ikaw”
Me——- punta tayo sa palengke, bibili ako ng bigas.
Edm—— ayoko dun, ayokong pumunta sa bayan, traffic.

So we dropped him off at the hotel.

(Take-off your sunglasses Miss Wa, it’s not a good idea going to the market wearing sunglasses, mapagkamalan ka)

Me——— “Deo sa palengke, alam mo ang daan?
Deo——– Sa Sison? Sison?

I saw the Mercury Drug in Session Road, “ipara mo Deo”,
I bought Aspilets (82 mg Aspirin) for my daily Aspirin maintenance.
178

I bought na rin Concore 5 mg, Lipitor 10 mg, Dulcolax 8 pcs. (yuks) etc.
179

There’s no parking in front of the rice vendors kaya dapat choose fast, pay fast and leave fast.

I bought a cavan of Dinorado for our maids kasi they don’t like the P1,500 a cavan. NFA daw, mabaho daw. I found out they were giving the 1/4 sack to the garbage collector and threw away some. They were eating pala our Biryani rice I bought from Costco. Mga kunsumisyon.
One time I went to Tiendesitas in Pasig to buy rice for our household helpers, the owner of the rice stall said “Naku Mam, yung mga taga Valle Verde iyan ang binibili, sobra naman ang mga maids nyo, anak mayaman?” I answered “siguro”.

I hope they will like this instead. The vendor assured me that this is fragrant and soft.
181

I bought a cavan of the organic/ upland one. See, there’s just one peso difference.

The Tabuk rice is cheaper but I’m pretty sure it would just go to waste. They will not like that.
182

191

I did not go deep into the market. I just stayed at the “bukana” where the rice and fruits are.

186

I bought 2 big melon.
183

and two packs of ponkan. I like drinking freshly squeezed ponkan (kiatkiat) in the evening. One pack can make one big glass of pure orange juice, or two small glasses diluted with ice.
184

I paid P20 for 6 pieces of palitaw. I just wanted to help the lady but when I tasted it, it was so delicious and freshly cooked.

Deo sa SM, diretso ka lang, bago dumating yung Burnham Park kaliwa tapos diretso, sa dulo kaliwa. Nakikita mo yung SM, hayun oh?.
yes Mam.—–
Deo——— Mam, sa Camp John Hay tayo?
ES EM!
Deo——– ah yes mam.

Deo——– Mam, san ko kayo ibababa.
Me——— Sa main entrance nila.
Me——— Dun pa, babaan ito ng jeep.
Deo——– yes mam.
Deo—— yes mam.

I have been planning to subscribe to Globe Tattoo so I could have 24 hour wi-fi but I never got the time to go to any Globe office. They’ve actually called many times before but I didn’t want to entertain random callers getting personal informations so I didn’t entertain them. But now I have decided that I need it. Edmund said “dito ka pa sa Baguio mag-a-apply? ano provincial rate?” I have a forced vacation so it’s a good time to do the things I couldn’t do when in Manila.
this is one. So Globe here I come.
198
I paid P999 for the first month charge the rest including the P150/month payment for the gadget would just be included in my monthly globe subscription. I spent some 30 mintues inside their globe office.

Uhaw ako.
Me———- Meron kayong pure juice?
Guy——— Meron
Me——— Okay, isa nga.
Guy——- Shake lang meron,
Me——- Sabi mo merong pure
Guy—— shake lang
Me——- okay, isang shake pero pwede bang walang syrup or sugar?
Guy—— pwede mam.
Me——- ay, bakit mo nilagyan ng syrup
Guy—— ay, nalimutan ko.
Me——- ha? isang segundo pa lang nakalipas?
Guy—— kalahati pa lang naman nailagay ko.
Me—— O, ano yang —- di ba condensed milk yan
Guy—– hindi mam, evap
Me—— pero may halong condensed yan.
Guy—– konti lang mam,
Me—— ako ang iinom, hindi ikaw.

SM’s back has a nice view of Baguio City. It’s 5:30 pm and I could see it’s getting foggy.

Time to go back to the hotel, I made a 7 pm dinner reservation at Chef’s Home, where President Pnoy orders pepper crab.

Hello Deo? dito na’ko sa labas.
San Mam?
Sunduin mo na ako dito sa entrance
San Mam
Kung saan mo ako ibinaba!
yes mam.

  1. Kaloka naman mga maid miss annie. Mga nagmamayaman. Grabe bat naman nila itatapon. I hate food that go to waste. Naiinis ako. Palibhasa di nila pinaghirapan. Anyway, miss annie how much did u pay for 1 cavan of rice? Ituturo ko sayo miss annie where to buy rice here in Manila so you’ll buy a good rice at a cheaper price. You can just send the driver to get it there para makamura ka. At the same time sana hindi itapon ng mga mayayaman mong maids.

  2. Hi Annie,
Sosyal naman nila! Ganyan din kaya kamahal rice na kinakain/ binibili nila in their own homes? Sana makahanap ka na ng House helper na you can trust, masipag, cheerful and hindi atribida.

Btw, my husband’s Cardiologist prescribed (over the counter) ECOTRIN 81mg for his daily dose of aspirin. Tablets has “enteric coating” We bought it sa Walgreens, 1 bottle of 365 tabs for $ 17.00 yata.
Costco has Bayer Low Dose 81mg , 400 tabs Enteric Coated for $ 14.50

    * ENTERIC Coating – this is a delayed-released safety coating that provides added stomach protection. A layer added to oral medication, that allows the medication to pass through the stomach and be absorbed in the intestinal tract. The coating protects againts the effects of stomach juices, which can interact with, destroy or degrade these drugs. – Mosby Medical Dictionary.

I can send you a bottle in your office, if you want to. 😉
    Stay Safe.
