Yen and I went to Rockwell looking for a place to have dinner.
She showed me the food hall which looked like something that came out of a designer’s style book.

The prices of food tells me this place is for above-average income earners.

We went around the sprawling room checking out what the different food stalls offered. Some seemed interesting but I was not in the mood to dine here. I told my daughter maybe next time.

We ended up dining here at the Xiao Long Bao Bar.

The name of the restaurant pala was Din Tai Fung and not Xiao Long Bao Bar.

A waiter was going around from table to table offering this, small plates of string beans.

This photo looks big but in actual the serving is small.

I thought the xiao long bao came with free Biogesic tablets.

My daughter had forgotten that the very first time we dined at Din Tai Fung was in Shanghai. We took a cab from the hotel to Xin Tian Di, then we crossed to the other side, where there was this big office building / mall and that was where the Din Tai Fung restaurant was.
Din Tai Fung is highly rated but in my opinion, there are other restaurants in Metro Manila that serve better tasting xiao long bao, although I like the very thin wrapper in Din Tai Fung.

My dessert, taho.
