I met the gorgeous 38 year old wife of an ADB expat a couple of days ago at a luncheon. We were seated together and I enjoyed listening to her life stories. She’s sweet and very nice.
She has a princess-like life. She was so used to having a coterie of bodyguards and personal assistants while living in her own country. She had personal assistants carrying her expensive bags. When she moved to the Philippines because of her husband’s work, she scaled down the number of her staff.
Because she’s used to having someone carry her purse for her,
she left her Louis Vuitton bag while shopping in Greenbelt 5. She also accidentally left her Christian Dior bag behind at the airport. She just walked thinking that her assistant was carrying her bag. Yun, merong kumuha.
She owns at least eight Birkin bags and I was relieved when she told me that she hasn’t lost a single one. At our luncheon, a few times she left her red Birkin bag on the chair. Binantayan kong mabuti at baka mawala. It was a Christmas gift from her husband.
See ladies? If you get used to letting your boyfriend, husband or maids carry your bag, you’ll get used to it. You cannot survive na without them.
Carry your own bag. Look at the Holy Pope Francis.
