I needed to break my two hour traffic-challenged trip so I got off at Robinsons Pioneer in Mandaluyong. I needed a cool drink to perk me up.
I saw this small restaurant which now occupies the other half of The Spaghetti Factory. Maybe Shrimp Shack is also owned by Spaghetti.
I was curious if their garlic shrimp comes close to the shrimp scampi sold in food trucks in North Shore, Hawaii.
The food trucks in Hawaii had simpler menu choices which were mostly shrimps.
Shrimp shack has a lot of food choices.
I didn’t know what to order so I asked the waiter. He recommended the shrimp scampi. He asked if I wanted 5 or 7 pieces. I ordered 5.
I expected the shrimps to be bigger. They were smaller and a little bit mushy. The buttery garlic was alright since I love garlic. Otherwise, there’s not much to say about this dish.
