The National Children’s Hospital is one of the places I go to keep me grounded.
The 4th floor section where the terminally children are, are beneficiaries of my humble care and attention. However, I don’t come here as frequently as possible.
It’s located along E. Rodriguez Avenue, a kilometer away from St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City
The hospital has fairly good facilities. There’s a tiny room with books and toys maintained by the Kythe Foundation.
The first time I came here, I cried near the elevator because the sight of sick babies and little children was just too much. Silent suffering that only your heart could hear.
Joshua is 14 and is suffering from leukemia.
I went last Thursday. I gave them Jollibee again. According to one of the nurses, the kids daw are sawa na of Chicken Joy. Medyo parang hard for me to believe because #1, patients here come and go. Only a few stay for weeks. Others die in a a few days. So it’s safe to say that everytime Jollibee comes, there’s a high percentage that the majority of patients are newly admitted.
Sawa na sa Chicken Joy? I think the nurse was speaking for herself.
Bubbly 4 year old girl Aimee with her mother Alma from Isabela.
Aimee looks perfectly well but she has leukemia and her mom has some disability too.
The little girl’s mother died after giving birth to twins. One survived but she has an enlarged heart and leukemia.
Exequiel, 4 months old. His heart has a .03 hole. Her mother is Gina, from Binan, Laguna.
Two days later, I was still thinking about this boy. For a few minutes, I entertained the thought of adopting him.
This is Baby Lenjohn, 8 months old. He looks like an angel. His mother Irene told me he has an enlarged heart and leukemia.
I will be at the NCM on August 8, 2014 for my apostolic activity BAPTISM OF ANGELS. Those who would like to assist me (2 – 4 pm) please email me right away.
I can only accommodate 4 – 6 people. You must be healthy- no ubo, sipon.
i do admire your kindness and generosity…GOD BLESS
God bless your kind soul, Ms. Annie…
May your tribe increase, OMB.
