After several days of non-stop bus rides and walking tours, it’s only now that we’re feeling our tiredness.
We want to explore other areas but we’re too lazy to walk far.
We inquired from the concierge for a nice restaurant for my bday dinner but everything seemed so far away.
We’ve decided to just have a simple dinner at the Compass Restaurant of the Titanic Port Hotel, Barkiroy, just one floor, elevator ride away.
a simple bday dinner with family
The roof top has a view of the city and the Marmara Sea.
We’re leaving for Abu Dhabi in a few hours, then 6 hours lay over, then 9 hours flight to Manila.
Hundreds of photos to follow. More kwentos, too.
Thank you to the hundreds of birthday greetings and good wishes.
See you.
Happy Birthday Mrs Yee.

Celebrating your birthday in Istanbul, Turkey is anything but simple. Private maybe but not simple. Glad you guys made the most of your trip in Turkey. I hope to learn something from your blogs of the trip. I’ll be there June 1-14, a 2-week tour. Have a safe trip home, cuz. God Bless!!!
Hi,
Thank you for your comment.
Turkey is a beautiful and exotic country. Glad we took an 8 days vacation. You are going for a two week-long holiday? wow, that would be even better. I wish we could stay longer. Must see places, check your tour package: Ephesus, Pamukkale (Cotton Castle), House of Virgin Mary (for us Catholics), Dinner Cruise (although food sucks, but the scenery around the harbor was relaxing).
Cheap ceeramic plates: Go to Grand Bazaar, the stall at the corner in front of the water faucets near Gate 7. His prices are fixed and the prices are written on white papers. If you’re buying from stores without displayed prices, ypu could be ripped-off if you don’t bargain much. Prices in tourist places are very high.
Must bring items: scarf for ladies (to cover head when entering sacred places), hat for men, sunglasses.
