The use of cellphone is making us spelling bee losers. I myself have forgotten many words because I got used to abbreviating them.
I was surprised that many people are failing miserably when it comes to correct spellings, conjugation. It’s okay to mix Filipino and English (Taglish) as long as the conjugations and syntax are intact.
Examples:
VOLT ————— She was telling me that last July, I inquired for vaults.
1. Ated ——————- ate, eaten
2. Pillet ——————– fillet
3. Naapek ako (by young actress) ————- I was affected.
4. Halubluks————— Hallowblocks
5. Espound—————- span
6. Cotision—————– quotation
7. Poting——————- footing
8. Kikitain (TV shows)—— kikitain means you will EARN, usually pertains to money. If you are going to meet a person or see a person, it must be “magkikita”.
9. ila-love nya ako (tv host) —- will love me.
10. condomnum——- mahaba talaga ang condom…inium
11. mag wedding na kami.——- We are getting married.
12. mag-to-together sila——- They will be together. Magkasama sila.
