We wanted to have a staycation in Manila but the hotels were booked. We have coupons for a one night stay in Sofitel but we couldn’t use it on weekends. We wanted to have some family bonding so we hied off to Tagaytay. We decided too late in the game we almost ran out of hotel choices.
Oyen searched online and I suggested Estancia Hotel. I have seen it from the outside a hundred times before, every time I went to this city. It looked promising from the outside and their tarpaulin that says “Santorini” was a big attraction to me. Santorini is in Greece and maybe a stay in Estancia Hotel would make us experience a little bit of Greece.

Good first impression but I didn’t feel a bit of  Santorini.

Estancia sits on a  a very large 3  1/2 hectare property on the ridge.   There are several buildings in the property each with different design.  This is definitely NOT Greece.

Esancia has more than 50 guest rooms scattered in their sprawling estate.

From the check-in lobby,  we walked some 150 meters, past a swimming pool.

A golf cart brought us to our room which was a little farther away.

tgaytay, aug 24-25, 2014 039Our room is on the lower ground floor of a quadruplex townhouse.  It is generally new and spacious.  We had two queen sized beds just perfect for the 4 of us.

It has a lanai with a partial lake and mountain views.
