December 11, 2017 Monday, Manila

Have you experienced losing your breath while brushing your teeth? That happens when you are in a hurry to finish because your schedule is super packed.
That happened to me five times last Monday. Five times because I brushed my teeth at least five times a day.

Monday was the day before we left Manila. I had many things to do and a day was not enough. I gasped for fresh air. Para akong nalulunod sa dami ng dapat kong gawin.

I decided to look for another bag to use. I have several meetings and many documents to carry. When I opened the boxes, I noticed that my blue bag’s leather was already becoming malutong. I touched the leather and it felt a little hard. Hindi na malambot. I better start using this or else it would disintegrate inside the cabinet. Sayang lang. The store where I bought it from advised me to bring it back every two years for cleaning and conditioning. Kaso ang layo naman ng Paris para dalhin ko dun. Plus it’s not free. The cost is either 200 or 500 Euro.

Hinanap ko pa sa cabinet yung twillies. I found two that are exactly the same. The disadvantage of having this kind of bag is it needs TLC kasi sayang. But I don’t know how to care for my bags, bagay sakin pangharabas. Eto lalagyan pa ng twilly or else the handles get scratched.

I don’t even know how to tie it properly. It always gets off.

I had three hours of sleep and I also shed some tears that morning. We should start our week with happy disposition para daw the whole week would be happy. Ako naman, morning blues agad. Naalala ko kasi anak kong lalaki.
super busy monday

Let’s go Lunes ko.
let's go

First stop was at a bank. This old guy was asking for new check books kasi daw he has nothing to use na. The bank officer told him he just recently got a lot of new checkbooks. He said no, he needs to order new ones. He was so confused but after several minutes of the female bank officer patiently telling him he still has a lot of checkbooks, he agreed to go home and look for them. I am not yet as old as this guy but this happened to me twice. I ended up with so many checkbooks I didn’t even need.
first stop, bank

Next stop, at an office in Greenhills. This Toyota vehicle was crushed by a falling granite from the condominium. The driver was inside when a big slab came crushing down on the vehicle. Luckily he didn’t get hurt. That’s scary. Dapat developers should no longer use stone cladding on high rise buildings. Napaka delicado. lalo na pag nag-earthquake. Magtitilansikan yung sa ibaba. Durog.

I went to four more offices then to Ford EDSA, then at 2:30 pm I ran to the LRA office in Quezon City. The road leading to their office is full of squatters or illegal settlers.

This stylish Ford Ranger was parked at the entrance of the LRA building. Very nice.

Why I went to the LRA is another long story. Saka ko na iku-kwento dahil it’s a stressful story. I went back to Ford EDSA at 5 pm because there were at least 6 people waiting for me. I let them stay in the conference room for a few minutes while I grabbed a small KFC sandwich. I was starving because I didn’t have lunch yet. I only had a very light breakfast.

My next meeting was with three groups. The first group was with the Wawa Water Cooperative officers. Then the next group was with the children of Ka Iking, my father’s employee sa itikan nila. They’ve been staying in my parent’s lots for more than 50 years and it’s about time that the registration be transferred to their names so Oyen will not worry about this things when I am gone. Dagdag stress ito. I’ve been paying for the realty taxes every year and abono pa ako. Two more meetings after that.

My last meeting was at 7 pm with the couple Eric and Monica and their two companions. I ordered a bucket of KFC chicken, soft drinks and rice for them. Cowboy naman sila, we had dinner without utensils.

I was the one who set this meeting kasi they’ve been waiting.  I didn’t know it was their 19th wedding anniversary. Wala naman daw silang date kaya okay lang daw.

Eric and Monica

Monica and Eric truly love each other and their relationship is made even stronger by their deep spirituality. They put God in the center of their lives. Happy anniversary!

  1. Good morning Ms. Annie!

I like your dress, sandals, and bag! hahaaa! You look good and fresh wearing them! Parang ang presko po ng damit ninyo.

Your posts make me happier, lalo na whenever I read the new ones. Sana you will make a compilation of the bloopers one day. They really are funny and sometimes nerve-busting! Your compassion to others inspire me to be better towards those who needs it.

Wish ko lang biyayaan ako ni Lord ng a bit of you so I can be better to everyone and so I will not experience negativity from anyone.

God bless you and have a happy vacation with your love ones po!

    1. Dear Cecile,
      1. My dress is really presko parang daster. If I am not mistaken I bought it in Franschhoek.
      2. I am glad Oh My Buhay has a positive effect on you.
      3. Compassion—- Each and every person has the capacity to feel for others. The purpose of our heart is to live, love, and care.
      4. I encounter bloopers every single day but I am not able to remember all. And since my posts are always late, by the time I sit in front of my laptop, nalimutan ko na lahat.
      5. A bit of me—— I am sure God has blessed you with special things that others don’t have. Just look inside you. Accept who you are as a person. Whatever you have, just be grateful. If you think you have less, be patient, good things will come. Just keep your faith and continue to be a good person.
      6. Negativity —– There will always be people who will look down on you whether you are rich or poor, ordinary or successful. There are people who are really like that so just don’t mind them. They are not important in your life.
      All the best,
      Omb

  2. Hi Miss Annie,

You don’t necessarily have to bring it to the original store of purchase. Try bringing your bag sa H boutique sa Greenbelt. If they have a resident craftsman, they can do the bag spa treatment right there, if they don’t, they should be able to send it I’m assuming to HK or wherever a nearest H craftsman may be. I sent mine for a spa treatment 2-3 yrs ago and paid $220 or so.
