Welcome to Tali Beach

Tali Beach is in Nasugbu, Batangas and even with a pro driver’s skill, there’s no way that you could reach this place in less than 3 hours. You have to pass through the crowded city of Tagaytay. Batangas is a probinsya kaya merong mga tricycles sa kalye. And people walk casually by the roadside kaya it’s not smart to drive really fast.

I was invited by the Honorary Consul of Costa Rica, Fausto Preysler, for a luncheon at their beach house. The invitation was sent in early December but I did not respond until the afternoon of January 13. I was supposed to bring my high school batchmates to the Ayala Museum and Resort World for a R & R on this day but it was postponed indefinitely, so I immediately faxed to Fausto’s office, my confirmation.

Edmund did not want to go with me to Tali Beach. To begin with, the date falls on a holy saturday. Holy because saturdays are golf days.

My daughter went to Sinulog Festival in Cebu and my son is going to the Ateneo fair with his girlfriend. Home alone again so I might as well find a place to go or something to do.

And so Tali Beach, here I come

We got lost a little and ended up on a dead end street where this house is.
