The Second US Presidential Debate

I watched the second US presidential debate with so much interest, as if naman I live in the US. Oh well, our countries and people are intertwined whether we like it or not. How good, how bad, America’s choice would be could affect millions of Filipinos and people from around the world.

It’s of paramount importance to all of us that they elect someone that would make the world a better and safer place than when he/she found it.

Second US presidential debate Oct 10, 2016

Although Philippine president Duterte had openly expressed his immensely intense discontent over the Americans, we Filipinos cannot instantly disconnect our past, present and future from America.
(Simple Example: Ang mama at papa ko ay sa America nakalibing).

During the campaign, Trump has expressed strong opposition to the US’s extending help to other countries. Someone also mentioned to me that he tagged our country as one of the terrorists. A relative of mine is in a hurry to renew his 10 year multiple visa. If Trump wins daw, he might shorten the validity to single entry, ha ha.
Their foreign policies could affect us and vice versa.
I hope if Trump becomes their president, his views about our country changes into something more positive. In the case of Hillary, even when she was still first lady, she was already known to be friendly to Filipinos. She’s been to our country twice and I would like to believe that if she becomes president, she will have no bias against our country. I trust that she would be more objective in America’s dealings with Filipinos.

I thought there wouldn’t be anymore third debate. CNN announced that the next one would be at the University of Nevada. I think I’ll go watch. Tyempo.
