The Wedding is Off - Oh My Buhay

Couple #1

The father of the groom has paid for the guests’ accommodations and grand receptions at the expensive and exclusive Balesin Island Club beach resort, airline tickets and all totaling at least five million pesos (P5,000,000). Everything was set, EXCEPT for the kind of wine to be served. The mother of the bride got pissed and blurted out “Ewan ko ba why my daughter is marrying that guy”. Someone heard that, and relayed to someone and the rest was history. My friend was tasked to send out notices to guests worldwide to inform them that the wedding was off but the free Balesin stay and airline ride were paid for and ready to be enjoyed. The supposed honeymoon proceeded without the bride to be. Only the former groom and the parents of the ex-groom-to-be spent the holiday.

Couple #2

The three hundred fifty guests were all set except for the bride and groom. The girl was insisting that he does not invite his ex-girlfriend who is now the girlfriend of one of his barkada. The groom reasons out that his friend would like to bring her along. He assured her that he no longer has the goods for this girl. The bride stood firm. Three days before the wedding, she called him at 5 am, the wedding is off!

Couple #3

They’ve already paid P150,000 for the Tagaytay wedding venue, the church and flowers, the organist, the singers, the gowns, everything.
Two months before the wedding, the couple fought and called it quits. Reason? They fought over the names on their guest list. The parents intervened and the couple decided to proceed with the wedding. Two weeks before the garden date, the mother of the groom and the mother of the bride got into each other’s nerves and wanted to call off the wedding.
The couple intervened. The mothers agreed to attend and participate at the wedding with the assurance that the two of them would not be made to seat together or be near each other.
Five days before the wedding, the mothers started fighting again. With the mother of the bride complaining about how cheap the gown of the bride was, the menu choices, etc. The bride and groom joined in the mayhem and for peace sake, said goodbye to each other.

What’s the problem with the 3 couples mentioned above?
Love and Commitment.
There’s none of the above.

Couple #4

Madalas bwisit sila sa isa’t isa. They argued over the tiny bird that flew by because she found it blue, he said it was gray. Bruho sya, bruha naman sya. Many times he wanted to push her off the bed. She wanted to bite his neck while he slept.

32 years.
In sickness and in health.
In good times and in bad.
Kahit daming problema, kapit lang sa isa’t isa.

Love and Commitment
