Two days sick, RT PCR, IHOP - Oh My Buhay

Two days sick, RT PCR, IHOP

I woke up with a runny nose, an Omicron symptom. I isolated myself to be sure. Edmund was also isolating in the other room to prevent infecting us just in case he has Covid.

RT PCR Test and ihop

My son took care of supplying his parents’ meals while we were isolating. I was worried Nyke cluld get infected too in case either me or Edmund has Imicron.

He placed the food outside our respective rooms.
Delicious grilled chicken teriyaki bowl for me from Panda Express.

Edmund had himself tested yesterday and today is my turn. He paid for our tests a serious amount of money ($300+- for both of us). I don’t remember his explanation why we have to pay eh usually the tests are free here in the US.

We are having some symptoms similar to Covid so we want to make sure this is not OMICRON or if it is, at the very least we will continue to quarantine and isolate Nyke, or we’ll have him tested too.

I can’t breathe, my nose is hapdi na sa kapapahid ko ng Giga peppermint with ginger.
The line’s longer kasi daw so many are experiencing symptoms. The infection continues to surge so everyone wants to get tested.

This has been our life in this past two years. Worried sick.

Test done,  time to have breakfast.  There’s IHOP just sround the corner from the testing center.  Kala namin konti lang ang tao.

There was a continuous flow of people and before long,  the restaurant was literally overflowing with diners.   We were worried of course that the virus is hopping from one table to another.  While waiting for food our masks were still on.  When the food came, I tried to eat without removing the mask.  Paano?

E—–“Tart, what are you doing?”

A—–“Ay kasi… baka super spreader…”

E—–“You look stupid.”

I remived my mask and started eating but secretly regretting coming here kasi grabe ang daming tao.

I removed my mask a\
We enjoyed our brunch despite feeling anxious.

Some readers find it mayabang when I post restaurant receipts  Eh this is my file.  We can review what we ate, where we ate, and how much we paid.  This is for my personal purpose.   I don’t post the expensive ones.

Fast forward update: Despite what looked like a hundred people dining in IHOP at the same time as we, Mr. & Mrs. Yee didn’t catch the virus. Thank you Lord.
