Anxiety is always present when one travels — days leading up to the departure date, and hours before leaving for the airport. I have traveled so many times in my life, and this feeling never goes away.
We spent 27 days in California and Theo proved to be an easy companion. He was behaved all through out our vacation. He cried once when he woke up from his afternoon nap and not finding me in the room. He also had an argument with Wowo because he refused to walk up the stairs. He wanted Wowa to carry him instead. While Theo was sobbing, Wowo kept talking, explaining to him that he’s a big boy na. Suddenly, Theo told his grandfather with a firm voice “Wowo don’t talk to me!” which shocked us.
We had extra bags for Theo’s milk, snacks, clothes to last through the long 15 hours journey. We wanted to make sure we didn’t run out of milk or snacks to feed him. My motto? Di bale kami magutom, huwag lang si Theo. Same motto I had when Oyen and Nyke were babies. We always had several big cans of milk formula under our bed in case magkagulo na naman like coup d’etat.
Time to board the plane.
I enjoyed the long walk to the plane. It was good exercise, it upped my number of steps.
