There’s a four month old baby boy living with the doctors and nurses at the Philippine General Hospital.
His parents abandoned him.
He needs diapers and Nestogen. More importantly, he needs loving parents.
Baby Paul was born with an imperforate anus or anorectal imperfections. It’s an abnormal condition the baby develops while still inside the mother’s womb. This birth defect is characterized with no rectal opening or it’s blocked. There are cases that there’s an opening but it’s not connected to the colon.
In his case, walang butas ang pwet nya. Hindi sya maka-uu kaya meron syang bag sa tagiliran. The doctor said they are just waiting for him to grow a little bit older, like 6 months old to two years, then he would be off with the pouch and may live a normal life.
He recently had a blood transfusion because his hemoglobin count was dropping. I noticed he has some mild rashes, a reaction from blood transfusion.
Would be parents of Paul must not only be kind and loving, they must be extremely committed and have the necessary resources to support his needs. If you are ready for this task, please let me know, I will hook you up with the doctor in-charge of Baby Paul. The necessary adoption papers would be processed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
If you would like to give him diapers or Nestogen, you may bring directly to the Pediatrics Ward section on the ground floor, or you may course it thru me. Salamat po.
