After church, the usual question was “where to?” Where to eat. I suggested that we go or try something different. But I didn’t want to go to the mall or to a fine dining resto because I was only wearing a daster-like dress. Oyen said if we’re up to it, she would bring us to Warung, an Indonesian restaurant in Kapitolyo, Pasig.

The moment we entered the gate, I liked the ambiance and vibe already.
We actually wanted a place with fewer people but Warung has become a hit and this place is always packed.

This is easily my favorite but too bad for my high glucose level.

Diner at the next table ordered this dessert. I’ll try this next time.

The restaurant owner approached our table as soon as Edmund sat down. She said “I know you, I know you, I Know you”, while pointing her finger at Edmund.
The three of us were like “oh oh”. I thought she was probably working in a bank before. Then she said “UST Commerce”. OMG, she was our classmate gazillion years ago. She still recognizes Edmund and has clear memories of our other classmates. She didn’t recognize me at first but she  remembered after I mentioned my name. She kept on saying I now look different. Of course, that was 40+ years ago, syempre iba na hitsura ko. My weight then was 108 lbs. Today it is 130 lbs. My waistline then was 22, now it’s 42.
“Kayo pala ang nagkatuluyan”.
