When you’re feeling blue

My favorite colors are white and blue. I love blue but I do not want my mood to be always blue. But lately, it’s been gloomy and bluey.

I went to the adoration chapel before going home to seek refuge from the seeming bombardment of tension, stress and tear-inducing moments in my life.

When this chapel first opened, it was dark inside except from the faint yellowish light radiating from the altar. But for some reason, they changed the lightings into daylights kaya mahirap mag-emote-emote at bistado kang umiiyak.

I was seated on this bench, then that lady came and after a few minutes, I caught her (from my left peripheral vision) staring at my face for several long minutes. Yes, woman, my tears were falling… so?

I saw a plastic chair at the back so I transfered there instead.

I bought P20 worth of Camia from this girl for our altar at home.
She’s Diana, a second-year student at Informatics. She’s so masipag. She buys the camia from a supplier from Laguna and Quezon for P30 a bunch, strings them and sells for P60. Sampaguita is a lot more expensive kaya they have become rare. They’re P500 per tabo.

Ma’m Annie- I don’t understand why despite your success, good family, good business, I always hear that you are not happy. I personally lost my husband (nangibang bahay) but I felt like nahugutan ako ng tinik, sort of blessing in disguise, nalugi and konting tinda ko sa tiangge pero ayos lang. Heto nakakaraos araw araw pero hindi ko na nararamdaman ang iyong blues or emot emot. BUt you keep me inspired- keep it up.
Sige po naway patnubayan ka ng Diyos, he loves all of us!

  1. Crying is a normal thing to do…I always read the bible when things don’t go too well and go to the church alone..In fact during those times in the hospital, I would visit the hospital chapel when all is quiet and .cry my heart out silently..until my eyes grow dry….I lift everything to Him…

  2. Cheer up An! You’ve got a terrific family, your business is booming and you’re in relatively good health. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

    1. Thank you Wilma. No life is perfect. I get my fair share of sadness.
I am a very sensitive person kaya madali akong ma depress.

  4. Sometimes, it is easy to say, ‘we should be strong’ but in reality, it is actually hard especially if you are a very sensitive person. We are in the same boat, I guess aging attributes to the so called ‘blues moment’. We can’t help but get affected by what is happening around us. Irregardless of what we have achieved in life, still it seems that life will never be perfect.
I pour my sorrows, cry and talk to my santos in the house. I also cuddle my four legged babies and talk to them. They help keep the blues away.
    Take care >^;^<

  5. Miss annie, dont be sad na, i know how youre feeling. :))) and miss annie, how come im not receiving emails na whenever youre replying to my messages? Minsan tuloy delayed ang reply ko. 🙂
