YY Foot Spa

There are countless of foot spas along Spring Mountain Blvd. Edmund and I had a Mr. and Mrs. one hour massage at a place called XY Foot Spa when he was here with me in Vegas two weeks ago. He didn’t like it. Me naman, I felt relaxed but I didn’t fall sleep unlike Edmund. Tulog agad. When he woke up, he felt that the masseur stopped massaging him as soon as he fell asleep. Eh that’s always the risk when you fall asleep while having a massage. The masahista can stop, hawak-hawak lang kunwari but he/she doesn’t massage you anymore. Minsan they are texting while the left hand is pretending to be massaging. Worst, they could take your photo.

After my late lunch in Monzo, I went to the YY Foot Spa right beside it. This is probably affiliated with XY Foot Spa. I won’t be surprised if there’s a ZY.

The karatula outside said $29.66. Meron yung iba $29.99. When I entered XY, the price inside was rounded off to $30. I pointed to the lady the $30 basic one hour massage. Tumango-tango. I supposed we understood each other.

The whole place was huge, clean, cold and with individual rooms. The Chinese-looking woman led me into a room. The curtain made me feel like I was in a brothel. And how did I know that there were curtains like that in a brothel? Basta hulang ko lang.

A different Chinese woman brought this palanggana with hot water and soaked my feet. She then left me for a good 15 minutes. I thought she forgot about me.
I dozed off for at least 15 minutes. She massaged my feet, my shoulders, arm, upper and lower back, buttocks. Edmund told me one time not to let the masseuse step or kneel, sit on my back. She could crack my brittle bones.

When it was time to pay, the same woman who massaged me was also the one acting as cashier. I gave her a hundred dollar bill. She gave me one $20 and one $10 change together with a very big smile. It wasn’t funny. I wasn’t smiling. I pointed at the $30 printed on the service menu board. She said “thirty five” because she massaged my back. I said no, I told the woman I only wanted to have the $30 regular massage. Hindi, she gave me daw a deep massage on the back. I told her 100 minus 35 should be $65 but she only gave me $30 change. She said “TIP”.
Tip? $40? Wow. Lokloks ito ah. Ikinunot ko yung mukha ko. She said, “oh wait”. She gave me an additional $35. I gave her a $5 bill for tip. Aba, kulang daw yun dapat $10. Sungalngalin ko na ito. Taking advantage ka na ha. I told her she already took the $5 because I only had the regular massage of $30 but she charged me $35, Buti nga binigyan ko pa sya ng $5. Grabe naman itong mga ito. Nanggugulang. If I didn’t give her a $5 tip, I was sure hindi ako makakalabas ng buhay dun. Aawayin ako tiyak.

Nawala inis ko sa kanya after I saw the complimentary mini Tootsie roll candies. I placed 4 pieces in my pocket. 6 sana nahiya lang ako bigla.
