I light candles in Catholic Churches once a week. It’s my form of prayer too. Sometimes, or most of the time, I feel drained from expressing my prayers in words so I would just light candles. God knows this act signifies my faith in HIM.
I usually light only 4 candles for me, Edmund, Nyke, and Oyen but today I lit 8. One must be for Theo.
Each candle represents a special intention or petition intended for a specific member of my family. For example, good health and safety for Nyke.
Dear God, Let your white light shine upon us. Amen.
