Instead of distributing the first batch of noche buena packs to street people, we gave priority to the recent Sendong flood victims in Cagayan de Oro.
We were scheduled today to drive around EDSA, Aurora Blvd, etc. to give some foodies to those living under the fly-overs, sidewalks and karitons, but for some fate, last night at past midnight, I watched the TV5 news and natyempo they were showing the devastation in Cagayan De Oro. Naawa ako sa mga taong naapektuhan so instead, we diverted the goody bags to TV5. The foodies became relief goods.
My children and I went to their station at 762 Quirino Highway in San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City.
The staff were a little surprised since the flood tragedy was so recent, they did not expect to receive some donations right away.
We were the very first, except from sacks of rice and canned goods that were already there, which according to the guard, were from Willie Revillame.
I bought the goods last thursday and friday from Savemore in Pasong Tamo
We got caught in traffic from TV5 and my son was starving. I opened one piece and we all ended up eating 2 packs. Masarap medyo matamis lang.
Flor and Cherry helped me packed.
As of Last night, the news reports said about 150 people perished. Today almost a thousand na, we need to give more relief goods. Please help. Send your donations to legitimate institutions. I think GMA and ABSCBN are also collecting relief goods. It’s better to give than be the one in the putik and baha!!
Thank you my good friend for diverting the goodies to those less fortunate in Cagayan De Oro and Iligan. My affiliates associations here make it thru ABS CBN Sagip Kapamilya.
Merry Christmas! May many more blessed years comes to you to share for everyone!!!
Regards Thony, thank you for your contribution to our Binangonan Xmas party.
