Dragon Dance at Ongpin

I made another boo-boo last monday when I was in Ongpin.
After I took photos of the Tikoy Boys, I heard the sound of the drums. I walked towards the direction of the sound. I got so excited with the thought that merong dragon dance.

I saw people congregating and vehicles were stopped to give way to the dragon dancers. I wanted to be very close to the dragon dancers so I could see them upclose. I walked faster and instead of walking on the sidewalk I squeezed between the vehicles and went to the middle of the road which had no people.

Eto nga! dragon dance. I was so happy, I started taking pictures.

This dragon was stunned when he saw me and my camera right infront of his face. He lifted his headgear and looked at me, then he put it back and started dancing again. Bakit kaya?

I thought it was weird that these ladies were riding on the dragons and they were really having fun. I placed my camera as close to the lady in black as possible.

Then all of a sudden, someone shouted KKAAAATTTTT!!!!

Huh, what’s that?
The dancers and drummers stopped. Why kaya?

I noticed that they were all looking at me. So I also looked at them.
I looked to the left, where all the spectators where. I saw a cameraman.

Then I looked to my right where the drummers where. Oh oh there’s another camera man.

I looked ahead, oh oh this is not good. There’s a camera man and a camera hoisted in a boom.

Oh my, I am in the middle of a GMA 7 shooting. Did I interrupt them? Obvious ba?
Kunwari patay mali I walked to the left side where the people are.
I felt like an idiot, para yung sa movies ni Dolphy nung araw na kipkip nya ang tampipi na lumuwas ng Maynila.

Excuse me, are you looking at me?
